AC Milan eyeing Fonseca’s former team-mate Freija Zici.

AC Milan are keeping tabs on Turkey international Yusuf Yazici, whose contract with Lille expires and who is a former football player of new Rossoneri manager Paulo Fonseca.

Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport reports that. Fonseca is looking for a new striker as one of several positions. He wants to strengthen in the summer transfer window after losing Olivier Giroud to LAFC in Major League Soccer UFABET  

AC Milan have been linked with a number of strikers in the past. Including Joshua Zirkzee, Jonathan David, Sergio Girassi and Romelu Lukaku. But have been unsuccessful in signing them all. With Red Bird’s advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic insisting they are carefully considering their options.

Most recently, Yazici has linked with Milan. As he is an alumnus of Fonseca and his contract with Ligue 1 side Lille expired on June 30. He finished the 2023-24 season with 12 goals and 4 assists in 42 games in all competitions.

The 27-year-old Izici, who can play as a centre forward or a winger was often deploy on the right flank by Fonseca last season. In the past, Milan fans will probably remember his name well. Having scored a hat-trick at the San Siro in Lille’s 3-0 rout of the Rossoneri in the 2020-21 Europa League group stage.
